New SuperUp and SuperPush crosscuts from El Salvador | Furniture Manufacturing Magazine

As a world leader in sawing technology, Salvador, headquartered in Italy, has added two new products to its already impressive range of automatic cross-cutting saws-SuperUp and SuperPush 150. Both models will soon be displayed and demonstrated in the Nottingham showroom. The only UK and Irish distributor Daltons Wadkin.

To replace the Salvador Classic series of semi-automatic machines is the new SuperUp. The working principle of the machine remains the same, safe two-hand operation control-but the overall design is now more powerful, and accessibility for maintenance and blade replacement has been improved.

The pneumatic control device for adjusting the saw stroke is now conveniently located above the bed, making it easy to adjust for different material types/thickness. Increased machine strength can improve sawing capacity, saw blade sizes are available in 500/550 and 600 mm.

The previous Classic model uses a fixed front saw guard, which can hinder the loading and unloading of the machine in a narrow working space. The new SuperUp model now offers an optional auto-retracting front protective cover, allowing the operator to load the machine before the sawing line without having to move the entire length of the workpiece to the feed table.

The feeding table and the discharging table can be specified as any length, and the downward turning stopper for manual and pneumatic operation can be selected. In order to increase productivity, SuperPush 150 provides a fully programmable optimized stop system.

The new Salvador SuperPush 150 is an evolution in the cross-cutting field, combining the compact form of a manual machine with the programmable function of an automatically optimized cross-cutting saw. With competitive prices and customizable specifications, anyone who performs crosscut operations can now take advantage of reduced labor costs, reduced waste, increased productivity, and increased accuracy.

Operators can be trained in minutes-no keyboard, no mouse required. The operation is intuitive, using a large 15.6-inch touch screen display and a dedicated saw cycle button. The cutting list can be quickly programmed on the machine or imported from an office spreadsheet.

As a standard configuration, SuperPush 150 has an automatically retractable front protective cover, allowing the machine to be loaded before the saw line, thereby significantly reducing the overall footprint.

The machine can operate in one of three modes, pushing, stopping or optimizing: pushing to work with repeated sizes or standard cut lists; stopping temporarily fixed lengths; and optimizing to minimize waste in the cut lists.

The stopping system is controlled by the latest Salvador optimization algorithm, powered by a digital servo motor driving a steel reinforced toothed belt. Continuous monitoring of the stopper with real-time feedback-if a heavy workpiece hits the stopper during loading, it will immediately correct itself to ensure accurate cutting every time.

Other options include label printing for workpiece identification and bar code scanners for quick access to cut lists.
